This proposal is for an architecture of a heterogeneous neural-network in which information is propagated using frequency modulation of pulses oscillated by groups of neurons. The FMNN model enables operations including variable-binding, sequential recognitions and predictions. The use of FM signals for communication among neural clusters also enables the model to avoid communication bottlenecks arising in most massively parallel computer architectures.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/30","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/0030.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/30.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/bibtex/30","volume":{"slug":"1989","title":"Proceedings of the Eleventh International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1989","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/","year":1989,"location":"Detroit, Michigan, USA","dates":"August 20-25 1989","editors":"N.
