Each time structure contains Its own chronology of events: sufficient Information for an encoding of a classical temporal logic. By quantifying over time structures, we encode a modal logic of temporal knowledge. In addition, we show how to achieve the effect of nonmonotonlc Inference, by simulating preferential entailment within a first order framework.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/206","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/0206.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/206.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/bibtex/206","volume":{"slug":"1989","title":"Proceedings of the Eleventh International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1989","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1989/","year":1989,"location":"Detroit, Michigan, USA","dates":"August 20-25 1989","editors":"N.
