An attractive approach to the problem is to match the current data set to a memory of script-like structures. Partial matching to scripts enables powerful understanding and prediction, but requir e s robust uncertainty mechanisms to overcome inherent ambiguity and error. Although powerful uncerta i nt y techniques dealing with time-relevant dat e have developed, little with regard to implications of the real-time problem has presented. for been the been This paper discusses some of the special requirements for a real-time script belief function, and presents a der i vation of such a function. Finally, examples demonstrating the characteristics of the Script Belief function are provided.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/99","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/0099.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/99.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/bibtex/99","volume":{"slug":"1987","title":"Proceedings of the Tenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1987","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/","year":1987,"location":"Milan, Italy","dates":"","editors":"John McDermott","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Knowledge Representation","track":"Knowledge Representation","number":99,"pages":{"first":502,"last":507},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
