On the Operationality/Generality Trade-off in Explanation-based Learning
Proceedings of the Tenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Knowledge Acquisition. Pages 242-247.
Abstract
In this paper we examine the operationalitylgenerality trade-off and how it aft'ects performance of explanation-based learning systems. E:1perience with the ARMS learning apprentice system, presented in the form of an empirical performance analysis, illustrates both aides of the trade-off.
