This extension permits the tracking of statistics of probabilistic opin- ions, however, as opposed to tracking merely Boolean opinions (or possibilities within the \"frame of discernment\"). Both the Dempster/Shafer formulation and the Hummel/Landy formulation assume that bodies of experts that are combined to form new statistics have independent information. We give a model for parameterizing degree of dependence between bodies of informa- tion, and extend the Hummel/Landy formulation for combining evidence to account for sets of experts having dependent informa- tion sources.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/209","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/0209.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/209.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/bibtex/209","volume":{"slug":"1987","title":"Proceedings of the Tenth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1987","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1987/","year":1987,"location":"Milan, Italy","dates":"","editors":"John McDermott","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Reasoning","track":"Reasoning","number":209,"pages":{"first":1015,"last":1016},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[{"position":1,"raw":"Shafer, G . , A mathematical theory of evidence, Princeton University Press, Princeton, N.J .
