We present a scheme of uncertainty management in such a system . Disbelief is given a con si d era ble importance in our approach. Various experts influence one another and show co-operative behavior by mutually changing their confidence factor values . The final decision about the feasibility of a certain hypothesis is based on the mean value and the consistency of the confidence factor values of the experts.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/60","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/0060.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/60.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/bibtex/60","volume":{"slug":"1985","title":"Proceedings of the Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1985","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/","year":1985,"location":"Los Angeles, California, USA","dates":"","editors":"Aravind Joshi","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Expert Systems","track":"Expert Systems","number":60,"pages":{"first":318,"last":319},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
