Temporal Reasoning Involving Counterfactuals and Disjunctions
Proceedings of the Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Planning and Search. Pages 1060-1061.
Abstract
This paper describes a mechanism for nonmonotonic temporal reasoning involving counterfactuals and disjunctions. The mechanism supports a method for exploring alternatives weH suited to automatic planning. The application of these techniques to robot problern solving is discussed with an emphasis on reasoning about exclusive choices and monitaring the continued warrant and effectiveness of prevention tasks.
