The system first builds semantic network shape descriptions bascd on Brady's smoothed local symmetry representation. lt learns shape models from them using a modified version of Winston's ANALOGY progranl. The learning program uses only positive examples, and is capab le of learning disjunctive concepts. We discuss the learnability of shape descriptions.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/186","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/0186.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/186.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/bibtex/186","volume":{"slug":"1985","title":"Proceedings of the Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1985","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/","year":1985,"location":"Los Angeles, California, USA","dates":"","editors":"Aravind Joshi","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Perception","track":"Perception","number":186,"pages":{"first":922,"last":924},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
