Unrestricted gapping gramtTUlT's, which provide an even more general rule format, possess rules of the form \"a ·- > (3\" where a and f3 many contain any number of terminal nonterminal or gap symbols in any order. FIGG. a Flexihle lmplementation of Gapping Grammars . is an implementation of a !arge subset of unrestricted GGs which allows either bottom-up or top-down parsing of sentences . This system provides more built in control facilities than previous logic grammar implementations. which allows the user to restriet the applicability of the rules . and to create grammar rules that will be executed more efficiently .","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/150","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/0150.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/150.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/bibtex/150","volume":{"slug":"1985","title":"Proceedings of the Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1985","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/","year":1985,"location":"Los Angeles, California, USA","dates":"","editors":"Aravind Joshi","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Natural Language","track":"Natural Language","number":150,"pages":{"first":765,"last":767},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
