Abstract
Auroma~ic deciJion·tr« generators have been used in production of expert system~. A number of e.x~riments indicate the need for more linear (and henu m.ore understandable) jet efficient decision 1rees . An algorithm is implemented for cons tf'll cting decision tncs optimized wilh respect to linearity. It also improYes on a previous linearizing algorithm (AOCDL) with respect to execution ~tficiency.
