Acq uired information is add ed to a domain model of quali tative cau sal relations that may hold among hypotheses, symptoms, and background conditions. After generating diag nosti c rules from the domain mode l, MORE prompts for add itional informati on that would allow a stronger set of diagnostic rul es to be generated . MORE 's primary value lies in its un dersta nd i ng of what kinds of knowledge are likely to be diagnosti cally significant. By formulating its questions in a way that fo c u se s on such knowledge, it makes the most effective use of the domain experts' time.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/110","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/0110.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/110.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/bibtex/110","volume":{"slug":"1985","title":"Proceedings of the Ninth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1985","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1985/","year":1985,"location":"Los Angeles, California, USA","dates":"","editors":"Aravind Joshi","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Learning and Acquisition","track":"Learning and Acquisition","number":110,"pages":{"first":581,"last":583},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
