We describe an edge based technique which exploits these clues by constructing a hierarchy of increasingly complex features composed of consistently interpreted intensity boundary segments. Feature interpretations are determined on the basis of constraints imposed on the interpretations of observed {ntensity boundary fragments and groups of fragments by the imaging process, the direction of illumination, and assumptions about the geometry ofthe objects in the scene.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/255","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/0255.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/255.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/bibtex/255","volume":{"slug":"1983","title":"Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1983","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/","year":1983,"location":"Karlsruhe, West Germany","dates":"","editors":"Alan Bundy","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Vision","track":"Vision","number":255,"pages":{"first":1099,"last":1102},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
