## Abstract

The network reduction systen of RAP7, an offline object level language for progra~ming robot assen-bly tasks is described in this paper. The task description is converted into a relational network with the positions of bodies as nodes, and relati o nships between positions as links. Rewrite rules based on the intersection and co nposition of relations are used to si!":lpl ify the network.
