We suggest a world model ba s ed on a temporal logic . Thi s approach allows the problem solver to gather constraints on the ordering of actions without having to commit to an ordering when a conflict is detected. As such , it generalizes the work on nonlinear planning by Sacercloti and Tate. In addition , it allows more general de scriptions of actions that may occur simult.aneously or overlap, and appears promising in supporting rea soning about external events and actions cau s ed by other ag ents.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/180","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/0180.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/180.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/bibtex/180","volume":{"slug":"1983","title":"Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1983","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1983/","year":1983,"location":"Karlsruhe, West Germany","dates":"","editors":"Alan Bundy","isbn":"","publisher":"International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence","doi_prefix":""},"section":"Planning and Search","track":"Planning and Search","number":180,"pages":{"first":741,"last":746},"keywords":[],"videos":[],"references":[],"license_note":"Copyright International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence."}
