A Framework for Processing Corrections in Task-Oriented Dialogues
Proceedings of the Eighth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Natural Language. Pages 668-669.
Abstract
Mundane discourse abounds with utterances referring to other utterances. These meta-language utterances appear with surprising fr eq uency in ta sk- oriented dialogues, such as those arising in the context of a natural language interface to an operating syste m. Tl1is pap,o;r identifies some simpler types of diH!ogue-lev "'! l meta-language utterance and provides a computational framework to process such phrases in the context of a case -frame parser ex ploiting strongly -typed domainse mantics.
