It combines mechanisms of the predicate calculus, type systems, and pattern matching systems. Description abstraction is a construct which we introduce to extend the expressive power of the syslem. The logic foundations for the basic constructs of Omega are investigated. Semantic models are provided, an axiomatization is derived and the consistency and completeness ol the logic is established.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1981/95","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1981/0095.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1981/95.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1981/bibtex/95","volume":{"slug":"1981","title":"Proceedings of the Seventh International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1981","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1981/","year":1981,"location":"Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada","dates":"24-28 August 1981","editors":"Roger C.
