The LS/0 exchanges information with its environment through three kinds of message strings. Given a question string, the LS/0 produces the response string, then the answer string is shown to the LS/0 as the correct response string. The LS/0 iterates such interactions infinitely. The most important feature of the LS/0 is that it tries to produce the correct response to the unexperienced questions. To do this, the LS/0 organizes the previously ~cquired information and generates the hypothesis or the knowledge structure. When the response fails to meet the answer, the LS/0 renews the hypothesis or reorganizes the knowledge structure to explain the answer. In the LS/0, the network-like structure called label net plays an important role to represent the knowledge structure.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1979/2","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1979/0002.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1979/2.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1979/bibtex/2","volume":{"slug":"1979","title":"Proceedings of the Sixth International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1979","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1979/","year":1979,"location":"Tokyo, Japan","dates":"August 20-23, 1979","editors":"Bruce G.
