EMil programs allow aribitrarily much processin& to happen in parallel. For example, when a goal generates several subgoals they are all pursued in parallel EMit Introduces the concepts of an «t;,;ty which is a generalization of process, and platform, a generalization of context. Two UteS for parallelism are discussed: parallel evaluation of subgoals and the use of opponents, concurrently runnlna activities tha attempt to ahow a sub&oal is unattainable.
