PAS-II is a task-free, interactive, modular data analysis system for inferring the information processes used by a human from his verbal behavior while solving a problem. The output of the program is a Problem Behavior Graph: a description of the subject's changing knowledge state during problem solving. As an example of system operation the PAS-II analysis of a short cryptarithmetic protocol is presented.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1973/55","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1973/0055.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1973/55.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1973/bibtex/55","volume":{"slug":"1973","title":"Proceedings of the Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1973","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1973/","year":1973,"location":"Stanford, California, USA","dates":"20-23 August 1973","editors":"Nils J.
