A Parser for a Speech Understanding System
Proceedings of the Third International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Natural Language: Speech. Pages 216-221.
Abstract
This paper describes a parsing system specifically designed for spoken rather than written input. Th e parser is part of a project in progress at Stanford Research Institute to develop a comput e r system for und e rstanding speech. The approach described uses as much he uri st ic knowledg e as possible in order to minimize the demands on acoustic a nalysis.
