Development of a programming language (SAIL) and augmentation of the timesharing system were required to provide the necessary data sharing and control flow among the tasks . The SAIL language provides facilities for \"associative processing ,\" and is extended to serve the data sharing and communication needs of the hand-eye system. Several user facilities are designed to aid running and debugging the system.","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/19","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/0019.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/19.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/bibtex/19","volume":{"slug":"1971","title":"Proceedings of the Second International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1971","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/","year":1971,"location":"London, UK","dates":"","editors":"D.C.
