The PCDB package uses standardized representations of PC formulas, where ground unit clauses are stored efficiently , e.g. on the property-lists of their argJrnents, and other clauses have other representation. The major part of the PCJE package is a function generator, which acceDts declarations of PC relations and func~ions, a::d l.tlich also acce pts \"rules\" ( = non-gro~~d axior.s intended for use in deduction) Declarations and ~les are used to generate efficient code for storage and retrieval of \"facts\" (usually = ground unit clauses) in and fron t~e data base . This generation process ma y be c.'larac:erized as a \"cx:pi l ation\" of the r.rles (fron pred i cate calc•.rl·.rs to LISP).","doi":null,"url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/17","pdf":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/0017.pdf","markdown":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/17.md","bibtex":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/bibtex/17","volume":{"slug":"1971","title":"Proceedings of the Second International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence","short_title":"IJCAI 1971","url":"https://ijcai.org/proceedings/1971/","year":1971,"location":"London, UK","dates":"","editors":"D.C.
